The Maligakanda Magistrate’s Court has directed the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) to record statements from 18 former ministers as part of the investigation into the controversial immunoglobulin scam. However, representatives from the Attorney General’s Department informed the court that statements from Ranil Wickremesinghe, Dinesh Gunawardena, Tiran Alles, Susil Premajayantha, and Mahinda Amaraweera are yet to be recorded.

Meanwhile, the CID has submitted statements from 13 former ministers to the court.

The court has further instructed the CID to expedite the process of obtaining statements from the remaining cabinet ministers who approved the fraudulent cabinet paper presented by the former Health Minister.
