Three members of the government did not vote for the proposal brought by the government to ban Diana-Sujith-Rohana from assembly for a month! Wijayadasat left with the opposition! Vidura-Thinthaka did not vote! I Sri Lanka Latest News

The recommendation made by the Ethics and Privileges Committee of Parliament to ban State Minister Diana Gamage and Members of Parliament Mr. Sujith Sanjay Perera and Mr. Rohana Bandara from parliamentary activities for a month was passed by 56 majority votes in the Parliament this morning. Sri Lanka Latest News

57 votes were received in favor of the recommendation and only one vote was received against it.

TNA MP MA Sumandhiran voted against it.

The most special event witnessed here was that three members of the ruling party abstained from voting.

Minister of Judicial Prison Affairs and Constitutional Reform Dr Vijayadasa Rajapaksa, Minister Vidura Wickramanayake and Mr. Chinthaka Amal abstained from voting.

Mr. Wijayadasa Rajapaksa left the House as did the opposition and Mr. Vidura Wickramanayake and Mr. Chinthaka Amal abstained from voting even though they were present in the House.

At the time of polling, members of Jana Balawega also left the assembly.
