Amid strong objection from the opposition, the ruling party called for a vote on Diana’s report! 57 votes in favor! 1 against! SJB leaves the House in protest! I Sri Lanka Latest News

The Speaker of the House tabled today (02) the proposal to ban Parliamentarians Diana Gamage, Sujith Sanjay and Rohana Bandara from Parliament for one month, and the ruling party proposed to go to a vote due to strong opposition from the opposition.Sri Lanka Latest News

The recommendation made by the Ethics and Privileges Committee of Parliament to ban State Minister Diana Gamage and Members of Parliament Mr. Sujith Sanjay Perera and Mr Rohana Bandara from parliamentary activities for a month was passed by a majority of 56 votes in Parliament this morning.

57 votes were received in favor of the recommendation and only one vote was received against it.
