Former MP K.P.S. Kumarasiri raised concerns about the delay in implementing the law against Mr. Dudley Sirisena, a prominent rice mill owner, who has not been supplying rice at the controlled price for an extended period. Kumarasiri questioned why the Consumer Authority had not taken action sooner.
On the same day, Mr. Anura Kumara Dissanayake released a video addressing the issue of the ‘rice mafia’ during an election event.
