Attending a ceremony held today, the Prime Minister said that measures should be taken to secure the rights of employees and the rights of trade unions should be secured.
However, because the employees of the Electricity Board have resorted to trade union action, the Electricity Board authorities have taken steps to suspend the services of 66 employees as of today on the advice of Minister Kanchana Wijesekera.
