University Education, including the University Grants Commission, all universities and higher education institutions, as well as the Sri Lanka Institute of Advanced Technology, which was under the Minister of Education Susil Premajayantha, have been removed from him.
It is said that those subjects have been placed under the Minister of State Suren Raghavan.
The relevant gazette has been issued on the 28th.
