A resolution on reconciliation, accountability, and the promotion of human rights in Sri Lanka has been adopted at the United Nations Human Rights Council (UNHRC) in Geneva. (Sri Lanka Latest News)
The resolution was adopted without a vote during the 60th session of the Human Rights Council.
Accordingly, the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR) has extended the monitoring and reporting process on Sri Lanka for a further two years. A total of 22 countries have signed the resolution as co-sponsors.
