The election took place on October 5 at the headquarters of the Udunuwara Various Services Cooperative Society. All nine members of the board of directors were elected from the opposition, marking a complete win for the Samagi Jana Balawegaya-led group.
It is also noteworthy that none of the candidates representing the National Jana Balawegaya party managed to secure a single seat in this election.
