Showers or thundershowers will sometimes occur in Western, Sabaragamuwa, Southern and North-western provinces and in Kandy and Nuwara-Eliya districts.
Heavy showers of about 100mm can be expected at some places in the Western and Sabaragamuwa provinces and in Galle and Matara districts.
Fairly strong winds of about (40-45) kmph can be expected in the western slopes of the central hills, Northern, North-central, and North-western provinces and in Trincomalee and Hambantota districts.
Showers or thundershowers will occur at several places in Uva and Eastern provinces during the evening or night.
General public is kindly requested to take adequate precautions to minimize damages caused by temporary localized strong winds and lightning during thundershowers.
