Six Tamil-speaking political parties are scheduled to announce a joint agreement to work together on matters of mutual concern during a media briefing on Monday.
The parties stated that they have reached a consensus to collaborate on issues of common interest at the current juncture. They added that further details of the agreement will be disclosed during the media briefing.
The parties participating in the agreement are the All Ceylon Makkal Congress, Ceylon Workers Congress, Democratic Tamil National Alliance, Ilankai Tamil Arasu Kadchi, Sri Lanka Muslim Congress, and Tamil Progressive Alliance.
