President Ranil Wickramasinghe visited Malwatu, Asgiri Maha Na Theroru today (02) and received blessings.
First, the president visited the Malwatu Maha Vihara, the Most Venerable Thibbattuwave, Sri Sumangala Nayaka Thero, inquired about his well-being and offered Atapirikara.
The Maha Sangha led by Venerable Malwatu Maha Na Thero blessed the President and Venerable Sri Sumangala Nayaka Thero presented a special commemorative gift to President Ranil Wickramasinghe.
The President did not forget to make a note in the commemorative book placed in the Malwatu Maha Vihara.
President Ranil Wickramasinghe, who came to the Asgiri Maha Vihara, visited the Mahanayake of the Asgiri chapter, venerable Varakagoda Sri Gnanarathan Nahimi and engaged in a short discussion.
The President also inquired about the development activities of the Asgiri Maha Vihara, and the Maha Sangharatnaya . Asgiri Maha Na Thero also offered their blessings to the President.
Mr. Sagala Ratnayake, the president’s senior adviser on national security, and the president’s chief of staff, Mr. Saman Ekanayake, the president’s secretary, were also present on this occasion.
