The Ceylon Electricity Board has given a pledge to the Supreme Court that it will not cut power until the investigation is completed.
The Secretary of the Ministry of Energy gave this pledge when the case filed by the Human Rights Commission of Sri Lanka regarding the violation of the agreement given by the parties including the Electricity Board that there will be no power cuts during the period of the A Level Examination was called before the Supreme Court today.
The petition was called before the Supreme Court bench consisting of Messrs. Prithi Padman Surasena, Yasanta Kodagoda and Shiran Gunaratne.
