Tamil National Alliance Member of Parliament Mr. Shanakyan Rasamanikkam said that the President and the Minister in charge of the Police are not in the country at the moment, and since an Inspector General of Police has not been properly appointed, who will take responsibility if something like the Easter attack happens.
Speaking in Parliament, he said that during a meeting with the President last Sunday, the President issued many instructions regarding the grazing land in Batticaloa, but it has not been fulfilled so far, and there is no Inspector General of Police in the country to inquire about it.
Therefore, the MP requested the government to take steps to appoint an Inspector General of Police as soon as possible.
