The Prime Minister has invited a discussion regarding the deposit of election money for voting and changing the parliamentary election system mentioned in the Constitution to elect members in a direct and proportional manner, postponing the local government elections, provincial council elections and the general election and the people’s electoral right and fundamental right. The opposition leader Mr. Sajith Premadasa said today (18) in Parliament that Samagi Jana Balawega will not enter into a discussion on changing the electoral system with the current government which has been violated.
