A letter signed by the opposition members has been given to the Election Commission urging the Election Commission to hold the postponed local government elections on or before March 19.
Parliamentarian M.A. said that since the Supreme Court has removed the obstacle to the election, there is no need for the Election Commission to invite the Secretary of the Ministry of Finance or anyone else for advice. Sumandhiran said in a tweet.
It is specially noted that JVP has also signed this letter for the first time.
