State Minister for Irrigation Mr. Shashindra Rajapaksa mentions that the chief executive officer of the company involved in bringing a ship of organic fertilizers from China to Sri Lanka has contested this year’s local government elections under the National People’s Power.
He also said that he has submitted nominations for contesting in the Wattala Pradeshiya Sabha from the National People’s Force.
He said that he has no relationship with the organic fertilizer ship and said that all the activities related to bringing the ship were done before he assumed the position of minister.
He made these comments while addressing a press conference.
