The 55th commemoration ceremony of the late DA Rajapaksa was held today (06), near the statue erected for him on the Tangalla Mahawela road.
In place of the statue of Mr. DA Rajapaksa, which was demolished four months ago, a new statue was installed at the same place on the 3rd and today the 55th commemoration ceremony was held on the same ground.
Prime Minister Dinesh Gunawardena, Speaker Mahindayapa Abeywardena, former Speaker Chamal Rajapaksa, former Minister Namal Rajapaksa, members of the Rajapaksa family, and members of the DA Rajapaksa Guna Samaru Committee joined the commemoration ceremony held with the participation of the fifth executive president and former Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa.
