Ms. Kushani Rohanadhira, Secretary General of the Parliament has informed in a letter to the Chairman of the Election Commission that due to the abolition of the position of Member of Parliament of the National List Member of Parliament of Samagi Jana Balawega, Mrs Diana Gamage with effect from 08th May 2024, there has been a vacancy in the Ninth Parliament. .
This notification has been made in terms of Section 64(1) of the Parliamentary Elections Act No. 1 of 1981.
