The Samagi Jana Balawegaya had taken steps to answer an allegation made by the JVP regarding Mrs. Hema Premadasa, the mother of opposition leader Mr. Sajith Premadasa.
There, Mr. Kanishka Lanarole, the General Secretary of the Samagi Youth Force, said in a press conference that she has not taken many of the privileges granted to a President’s wife by the Act itself.
Mr. Lanarol said that even though there is an official vehicle, an official house, and a backup car, she has not taken any of them, and she is still living in a private house.
Mr. Lanarole also asked the JVP to do justice to the wife and five children of the first JVP founder Rohana Wijeweera to accuse others.
