SJB representative Waruna Deeptha Rajapaksa has alleged that Colombo’s Mayor election was conducted in violation of established procedures. He stated that Local Government Commissioner Sarangika Jayasundara failed to adhere to the guidelines issued by the Ministry of Public Administration during the election process.
Speaking further, Rajapaksa revealed that a secret meeting had been held regarding this matter. The meeting reportedly took place yesterday at No. 59, Rosmead Place and was attended by senior government ministers, deputy ministers, and high-ranking state officials.
