Tan Chuan Jin submitted his resignation to the Prime Minister of Singapore, Lee Hsien Loong, stating that he made a mistake by uttering uncivilized and unbecoming profanity in Parliament, and as a result, he will resign from the position of speaker, party member and member of parliament with immediate effect.
