Prof. G. L. Piers of the Free People’s Assembly said that the current government has reached a situation where it does not accept the people’s interest in elections as the President of a democratic country declares, and even the Supreme Court decisions are not accepted..

He said this at a press conference held at the main office of Janata Sabha in Nawala today (12th) morning.

He further  said that by summoning the Supreme Court judges to the Parliamentary Privileges Committee, there is a doubt as to whether the power of the Supreme Court has been reduced in some way. No matter what tricks are put in place, the presidential election will not be postponed at all, and the opposition will work together for that.
