The district leaders of the Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna met this afternoon and they have decided not to participate in the meeting with the President today.

The district leaders have also told Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna national organizer Mr. Basil Rajapaksa that they can participate in discussions and meetings on behalf of the party and will not participate in discussions convened by the president, officials or ministers.

They had further stated that the leaders of the Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna should be informed even if it is not the president but whoever is calling.

It has been emphasized that MPs should be informed through the party, especially for meetings discussing political issues.

Recently, Member of Parliament Namal Rajapaksa mentioned that if they want to call his party members and seniors, first they should inform the party.
