Person was reported to have died while waiting in the ‘aswasuma’ queue  I Sri Lanka Latest News

This morning (27th), a person who was waiting in the queue for related activities in the premises of the Ella Divisional Secretariat fell down and died. The deceased is said to be a resident of Namunukula area.Sri Lanka Latest News

“This person has been identified as Ramasamy Kulandavelu, a resident of Pinarawa Estate, Tonacombe Estate, Namunukula. This person with National ID number 461892671X is 77 years old.

This death has happened before the commencement of the duties of the Divisional Secretariat. Since four in the morning, many people have been queuing up at the Ella Divisional Secretariat to get forms to open accounts these days. These dead people have been waiting in line like that. After falling to the ground, the people who were there called 1990. When the ambulance arrived, they found out that the man had died and called the police.

We have removed the body from the place after police investigations,” said a person from Ella police station when asked about this incident.
