Super Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan has been detained at the Mumbai airport for illegally bringing some watches worth 18 lakhs of Indian rupees.
He participated in an event held in Sharjah, Dubai. When he arrived at Mumbai International Airport by private jet, he was detained by airport immigration officials after finding some expensive watches in his luggage and after collecting a fine of six lakh eighty three thousand Indian rupees. He has been released.
According to Indian media reports, several other people who came with Shahrukh Khan, including the security officer, were detained and questioned at the airport for many hours.
He was also given an honorary award in recognition of his contribution to cinema and culture.
