Southern Province Senior Deputy Inspector General of Police Ajith Rohana has sent a letter to the National Police Commission stating that the decision taken to transfer him is very malicious and that the Public Security Minister Mr. Tiran Alas is behind it.

It is stated in that letter that Mr. Tiran Alas is working in this way to protect one officer.

Mr. Ajith Rohana, who claims in his letter that the minister had summoned all the senior DIGs on April 18, reprimanded him for a letter prepared by him on the instructions of the IGP.

Mr. Rohana has mentioned in his letter that he was called to the Minister’s office and accused him of a letter circulating on social media about the post of future Inspector General of Police, where he was given a tip about a transfer.

Therefore, Mr. Ajith Rohana has requested the Police Commission in his letter not to accept this illegal transfer.
