“Meet the Ambassador of Italy” A discussion at the National Chamber to Foster Bilateral Trade

The National Chamber of Commerce of Sri Lanka is pleased to announce bilateral trade & investment discussion between Sri Lanka & Italy on Wednesday, 27 March 2024 from 2.30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the National Chamber Auditorium situated at No. 450, D.R. Wijewardena Mawatha, Colombo 10.

The Ambassador of Italy to Sri Lanka, His Excellency Damiano Francovigh, will serve as the Special Guest Speaker at the event. Participants will have the exceptional opportunity to engage in a close dialogue with His Excellency, fostering meaningful exchanges and insights. The overall purpose of this meeting is to discuss on the current trade environment, investment opportunities/ services, policies, and other important information with the view to promote and strengthen bilateral trade and investment between Sri Lanka and Italy.

Sri Lanka’s Major Export Items to Italy

Apparel, Articles of apparel and clothing accessories (including gloves); Coir fiber; Fuel oil; New pneumatic tyres of rubber, retreaded or used pneumatic tyres; Precious and semi-precious stones (other than diamonds); Fish, frozen, excluding fish fillets; Liquid coconut milk; Tea. Sri Lanka’s Major Import Items from Italy

Knitted or crocheted fabrics, special woven fabrics; Synthetic and artificial fibres; Pharmaceutical products; Boilers, machinery; Plastics and articles thereof; Optical, photographic, cinematographic, measuring, checking, precision, medical, or surgical instruments; Prepared animal fodder; Electrical transformers, static converters; Other articles of vulcanized rubber; Miscellaneous chemical products.
