Sri Lanka Industrial Development Board (IDB) Chairman Ravi Nissanka has reportedly submitted his resignation letter.
He is said to have cited personal reasons for stepping down from his position.
In a message sent to his friends, he stated that he would resign from the post with effect from today (29). In the same message, he also expressed gratitude, saying: “Thank you for the support and encouragement you have given me during my tenure.”
When contacted for clarification, an official from the Chairman’s office of the Industrial Development Board confirmed that he last reported to the office on Wednesday (May 27) and thereafter submitted his resignation letter to the relevant ministry.
