The Association of Government Medical Officers says that they will start a token strike at the provincial level covering government hospitals across the island. Sri Lanka Latest News
Dr Haritha Aluthge, secretary of the Government Medical Officers Association, said this while attending a press conference held today.
The union says that the 24-hour token strike will begin tomorrow.
Accordingly, doctors of all government hospitals in Uva province are going to join the strike tomorrow (02).
Then the strike will be implemented in all public hospitals in the Northern Province on the 3rd, in the North-West Province on the 6th and in the Sabaragamuwa Province on the 7th.
The 08th strike will be implemented in Central Province and Eastern Province.
Doctors of all government hospitals in the Southern Province and North Central Province are going to join this strike on the 09th.
Government medical officials say that on the 10th, the doctors of the government hospitals in the Western Province are going to join the strike.
