Minister of Justice Wijayadasa Rajapaksa said that a large amount of foreign exchange that should come to the country with fake invoices has been invested in foreign countries or deposited in banks. Sri Lanka Latest News
Addressing a press conference, he said that an amount of 53.5 billion dollars should come to the country in the last 12 years, and 3 billion dollars should come to the country in 2022, so the total amount is 55.5 billion dollars.
The minister said that some people make a profit of 30 or 40 million dollars by presenting fake figures in the export invoices and then keep them as investments or savings in those countries.
