Former President Maithripala Sirisena Records Statement Before Bribery Commission

Former President Maithripala Sirisena appeared before the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption this morning (13), Sri Lanka Latest News reports.

He had been summoned to provide a statement in connection with an alleged fraud that took place 15 years ago at an institution affiliated with the Sri Lanka Freedom Party (SLFP).

After giving his statement for nearly five hours, the former President left the Bribery Commission premises at around 2:00 p.m.
