According to foreign media reports, the powerful blast sent black smoke billowing into the sky, and the sound of the explosion was strong enough to shake nearby houses.
So far, there have been no reported casualties or injuries resulting from the incident.
Authorities have issued warnings to residents to be cautious about air quality. People living in the western part of the city have been advised to keep doors and windows closed and remain indoors. Traffic in the area has also been restricted as a precautionary measure.
