It has been reported that Dr. Palitha Rajapaksa of the Badulla Teaching Hospital has been summoned before the Public Service Commission to provide evidence in a disciplinary investigation.
The inquiry is related to a statement he previously made concerning the shortage of medicines in the country. Accordingly, Dr. Rajapaksa was called today (08) to present his testimony and facts regarding the matter.
Notably, Dr. Rajapaksa recently made significant efforts to save the lives of those injured in the tragic bus accident on the Ella–Wellawaya road on the 4th, an incident that claimed 15 lives.
