Prison officials have discovered a vial of cyanide during a search operation at the Angunukolapelessa Prison, according to the Department of Prisons.
Authorities confirmed that the cyanide was found in the possession of Tharindu Madusanka, identified as a close associate of the notorious drug lord “Kudu Salindu.”
Preliminary investigations indicate that the substance had been smuggled into the prison with the intention of assassinating “Commando Kavishka Kumara.”
It has also been revealed that the group responsible for bringing the cyanide into the facility had tested its lethality by injecting the substance into a lizard, which reportedly died instantly.
