While the group was protesting for almost 5 hours, Pohottuwa Member of Parliament Jagath Samarawickrama came to the place and discussed with the group.
When the angry people booed the MP and protested, it was seen how the security guards took the MP into the Divisional Secretariat office.
Accordingly, the group worked to keep the MP, the local layman, and the staff in their office for almost an hour.
The group dispersed after the MP promised to resolve the issue before the 10th of July.
