The Fort Magistrate’s Court today (24) took steps to issue a warrant for Jaffna District Parliamentarian Archuna Ramanathan over his failure to appear in court in connection with a case filed regarding an incident of obstructing the duties of Fort Police officers.
When the case was taken up before the court today, the MP was not present, and his sureties also failed to appear before the court.
Accordingly, the Fort Magistrate’s Court ordered the issuance of a warrant against MP Archuna Ramanathan.
