International Fleet Review (IFR) and MILAN 2026 at Visakhapatnam

The Indian Navy is hosting, flagship events International Fleet Review (IFR) and MILAN 2026 at Visakhapatnam from 15 – 25 February 2026. 75 foreign delegations, 50 aircrafts and71 ships including 19 warships from 18 friendly foreign countries are participating in the events. This edition guided by the themes ‘United through Oceans’ for IFR and ‘Camaraderie, Cooperation, Collaboration’ for MILAN, will showcase professional exchanges, operational drills and cultural celebrations.

The 2026 edition will provide participants with valuable opportunities to share operational insights in harbour, hone professional skills at sea, strengthen camaraderie on the sports fields and immerse themselves in the richness of Indian culture.

Smt. Droupadi Murmu, the Hon’ble President of India reviewed the assembled Fleet at the Review Anchorage Area off Visakhapatnam, on the morning of 18 February 2026. The Review has also featured Steam Past by Mobile Columns of Warships and Submarines, and Fly past by Naval Aircraft while ships of various Friendly Foreign Countries and India are anchored. Several enthralling activities such as Parade of Sailing Vessels, Search and Rescue Demonstration by Helicopters and Display by Marine Commandos are also included in the Fleet Review.

Vice Admiral Kanchana Banagoda, Commander of the Sri Lanka Navy witnessed the review with the Hon’ble President onboard INS Sumedha, an indigenously built Naval Offshore Patrol Vessel (NOPV). Further, SLNS Sagara and SLNS Nandimitra also joined the events, which reinforcing Sri Lanka and India in close regional maritime ties.
