As it was a Sunday, there was not much traffic due to flooding of the roads due to rain, however, the people who used the roads by vehicles and on foot were in a lot of trouble.
Many areas like Colombo Fort, Maradana, Panchikawatta, Borella, Kurunduwatta and Kompanjaveediya were flooded and trees had fallen on the road at Darley Road and 138 bus route in Kompanjaveediya area.
