Senior Assistant Auditor General E. M. S. Ekanayake has stated that none of the funds received by the Sri Lanka Fund have been utilized to date.

This was revealed when a group of officials from the National Audit Office appeared before the Committee on Public Finance.

Responding to a query raised by the Chairman of the Committee on Public Finance, Dr. Harsha de Silva, regarding the “Rebuilding Sri Lanka” Fund, Senior Assistant Auditor General E. M. S. Ekanayake stated that no expenditure has been made from the money received by the fund so far.
