Mr. Dhanish Ali, a prominent leader of the recent struggle, has for the first time disclosed an alleged conspiracy to assassinate opposition leader Mr. Sajith Premadasa during the height of the unrest.
Speaking at a press conference, Ali claimed that Jagath Manuvarna, currently associated with the Malima platform, was involved in throwing stones at Mr. Premadasa. According to Ali, the attack was not an act of mere intimidation.
He further alleged that the intent behind this act was to eliminate the opposition leader and ignite widespread chaos in the country.
