Former Member of Parliament Ranjan Ramanayake has launched a new political party, named the ‘United Democratic Voice.’
It was previously reported that this political entity was established by Alliraja Subhaskaran, the head of Swarnavahini Media Network and the Laika Group.
The party is set to contest the upcoming parliamentary elections under the symbol of a ‘Microphone,’ with its manifesto expected to be revealed soon.
Adding to its prominence, former Sri Lankan cricket captain Tillakaratne Dilshan has joined the party and will run in the upcoming general elections. He also holds the position of National Organizer within the party.
Additionally, former Member of Parliament Vadivel Suresh has aligned himself with the Ranjan-led political movement.
