Ranil Sajith engaging in friendly banter at the party leaders’ meeting! Don’t go filling ministries! The opposition can participate through parliament committees!

Today’s party leaders’ meeting in Parliament was attended by President Ranil Wickramasinghe and opposition leader Sajith Premadasa.

The leader of the opposition has informed the president that the opposition is willing to support the government’s activities through the parliamentary committee system and that the opposition will not be taken away by giving them ministerial positions.

The opposition leader has also informed the President that this will help to strengthen the parliamentary system.

The President praised the activities carried out under the Sajabe ‘Husma’ program and asked the opposition leader to keep the program going.
