Yoshitha Rajapaksa, the son of former President Mahinda Rajapaksa, has been taken into custody.
The Criminal Investigation Department (CID) reportedly arrested him at the Angunukolapelessa entrance of the Southern Expressway.
The arrest is linked to an investigation concerning a land plot in the Mount Lavinia area.
The CID had previously questioned Yoshitha Rajapaksa regarding allegations of acquiring undeclared assets.
