Workshop Held at JVP Headquarters Following Handunnetthi’s Mistake: Training on Dos and Don’ts, Handling Questions, and Avoiding Pitfalls

The Sajith-Anura debate, which had become a major topic in the political arena before the New Year, is now in a lukewarm place. To tell the truth, it is more correct to say that JVP was stung by this debate. Now whatever the JVP says, the debate that was supposed to be held between the Sahab and JVP Economic Committees was pushed to a Sajith- Anura debate because of Sunil Handunnetti’s speech. Sunil Handunnettia suggested that it should be a debate between Anura and Sajith when the Sajbaaya JVP Economic Committee was invited for a debate.

Accordingly, at that very moment, Sajith made a statement from Mullaitivu and said that he was ready to debate with Anura. But still Anura has not said a word about it. After that, Tilvin Silva came to the press conference and made a statement that this debate will not take place. Harini Amarasuriya also jumped in the middle and joined the President and talked to the point where the debate was not going on. Accordingly, now the debate is in a place where it is not happening rather than happening. Sri Lanka Latest News

Meanwhile, after Handunwenthi’s speech, the party had taken steps to organize a workshop for all representatives of the JVP party headquarters after the New Year holidays. Although holding workshops in a party is a normal phenomenon, this workshop was an extraordinary one based on the issues that were discussed there. In this workshop, the JVP and Malimawe all were informed about the topics that should be discussed and which topics should not be discussed on the political stage.

There, steps were taken to explain at length that everyone should speak from one point of view and the issues to be discussed in each topic. Also, the JVP had made arrangements to inform everyone about how to avoid issues that should not be discussed, what issues should be discussed in public, and what issues should not be discussed in public. After this workshop which lasted for several days, we will be able to see how all JVP members speak with one voice.
