Over 400 foreign cricketing talents, including luminaries such as Barbar Azam, Shaheen Shah Afridi, James Neesham, Tim Southee, and Ish Sodhi, have thrown their hats into the ring for this year’s Lanka Premier League auction, Sri Lanka’s Sunday Times newspaper reported.

The player registration phase is set to conclude on Monday, with organizers poised to trim the list down to approximately 150 players who will then face the gavel at the eagerly anticipated auction.

Scheduled to take place on May 16th at a prestigious five-star hotel in Colombo, the event promises to be a spectacle of cricketing prowess and international talent.

The fifth edition of the Lanka Premier League 2024 will be played this year from July 1 to 21.
