Accordingly, the plantations of Janatha Vatu Development Board, Kalubowitiana Tea Factory Limited, Sri Lanka State Plantation Corporation, Alkaduwa Plantation Corporation Limited, Kurunegala Plantation Company Limited and Halawata Plantation Company Limited have been taken over by the minister of Siyambalapitiya.
The special event to be seen here is that Alkaduwa Plantation Company Limited, which had caused a great controversy recently, has also been placed under the Minister of State.
In the last COP committee meeting, many facts were revealed about the Alkaduwa estate company and it was confirmed with evidence that some of its leaders have committed fraud and corruption.
Accordingly, the employees of the respective estate companies believe that the minister will take strict action against these corrupt officials in the future.
