Government employees took to the streets at lunch time to demand more salaries from the budget! The struggle is not over! We’re on the road anyway! VIDEO I Sri Lanka Latest News

Based on several demands of the public service, the government employees were engaged in a protest campaign throughout the state at lunch time today (30).Sri Lanka Latest News

The State and Provincial Public Service Unions have organized these protests with several demands, including a salary increase of 20000 rupees and the re-implementation of the full pension system which was lost in the 2016 budget.

The agitators say that the prices of all goods and services have increased by 300-400 percent.
