While Janaka, the Chairman of the Utilities Commission, was away, the police  sealed the chairman’s office!

The Kollupitiya Police have sealed the office of Sri Lanka Public Utilities Commission Chairman Mr. Janaka Ratnayake.

That is according to a court order obtained from the Fort Magistrate Court.

The Kollupitiya Police has received a complaint that a group of people from Kollupitiya area are trying to destroy important documents in the concerned office.

Accordingly, the Kollupitiya Police have sealed the relevant office in accordance with a court order obtained after reporting the facts to the Fort Magistrate Court.

Mr. Janaka Ratnayake is currently abroad and it is reported that the relevant office will be opened after his return to Sri Lanka.
