The Union of Professionals will meet today (13) to discuss the measures taken against the government’s new tax policy.
It includes 40 professional unions including Government Medical Officers Association, University Teachers’ Union Federation, Medical Faculty Teachers’ Union Federation, Electrical Engineers Union, Bank of Ceylon Employees’ Union.
Dr. Chamil Wijesinghe, the spokesperson of the Government Medical Officers’ Association, said that this meeting of professionals will be held at the head office of his association.
