He said this today (24) while attending a ceremony held in Ambilipitiya area.

The Golden Jubilee celebration at Ambilipitiya St. Michael’s Church was presided over by His Eminence Malcolm Cardinal Ranjith, Archbishop.

Dr. Omalpe Sobitha Thero, Chief Sanghanayaka of Southern Sri Lanka of the Sri Lanka Ramanya Maha Nikaya and a group of others were also present.

Archbishop Malcolm Cardinal Ranjith, who spoke there,

“If the leaders take the lead to investigate, if they act on it, but honestly, if they make some effort through honest officials to find out the truth of what really happened without succumbing to political pressure and protecting them, we don’t need to go international with it. We are asking to do all this through transparent methods.”
